How we work
Every story here is real progress, rewritten in our own words from the world's major news outlets, always credited.
What counts as good news
Real, verifiable progress: a problem getting smaller, a solution that works, a measurable improvement. We avoid "feel-good" stories that actually show a system failing, such as people crowdfunding basic medical care.
How stories are chosen
We read the public RSS feeds of the world's major news outlets several times a day. Each story is scored for real progress; low scores and stories that celebrate a broken system are not published. Duplicate reports of the same event are merged, and we show how many sources covered it.
How we write
Each story is rewritten in our own words, with a short "Why it matters" summary. We do not add facts, exaggerate or use clickbait headlines. Every article links to the original reporting so you can check it.
Images
Photos come from Pexels under its free license and are credited to the photographer. They illustrate the topic and are not photos of the event itself.
Money and independence
The site is run independently with near-zero costs. If we ever show ads, there will be at most one clearly labelled ad below an article, never pop-ups or autoplay video. No sponsored stories.
